Time Out Appropriate Parenting Trick
When it comes to punishment for wrong doings, parenting specialists wholeheartedly believe in the “time out” method. The time out method is a great method of punishment that gives some time to the child to think about what they did. It also affords a cooling off period. They say to base the amount of time on the child’s age, so that if you have a three year old child, you give them three minutes of time out, a four year old child gets four minutes, and so on. This method truly works, and it is probably because, as with adults, if you step back from a situation and just remove yourself from it, you can think a little clearer about it and then handle yourself appropriately.
