Sometimes there are no records available
My brother had been adopted at a very early age and had grown up with only the memory or his adoptive parents and not his biological parents. Knowing our families medical history really did not provide much of a history for his children. When he died his son wanted to find out all he could about his father’s real parents. They were able to find his mother but not his father. Even doing a free divorce records search failed to produce any worthwhile facts. Finally they found that his biological mother was still living and approached. She reluctantly filled them in on her medical history but refused to divulge anything about his father.
