Tradition
Whose responsibility is it to purchase the unity candle stand for a wedding? I believe that when my sister was married that my dad paid for the candle and the inscription for it but I am not sure who paid for the stand. Is it tradition that the father of the bride pays for the candle? Maybe my sister just did things a little different? I would imagine that something as sacred as the unity candle be purchased by a wedding party member but I am not sure where the responsibility lies or if I am to ask a specific person for the honor.
