Sky Lantern Launching Tips
It’s important to follow guidelines when setting off a Sky Lantern, as by doing so it ensures the maximum enjoyment for the product. Firstly you must check the wind direction to get an idea of which way it will float once released, after this make sure there are no obstacles such as trees or houses in that direction that the wish lantern could get stuck in. Whilst setting up the sky lantern, make sure none of the corners are creased, and the outer material has no tears or holes in it.
When lighting the fuel cell it is best to ignite the corners, following this hold the wish lantern upright until the hot air from the fuel cell fills the sky lantern. After 20-30 seconds you will notice it becoming lighter and eventually it will pull away from you, at this point simply release it, there is no need to try to push or throw it into the air.
Once that’s all done simply release and watch it float away.
