Teaching Your Children How to Make Soap
Many of today’s youth have no idea how to make soap. They probably have no idea that lye is one of the main ingredients in the soap making process. If you want to teach your child a new craft idea, consider making a batch of homemade soap. Be sure to exercise caution, as lye can cause bad burns if it gets on your skin. Be sure they wear clothing that covers their arms and legs, as well as heavy rubber gloves and sturdy apron. Goggles are a must as well, to prevent any eye injury from splashing lye or liquid. If you practice good safety procedures, you will be able to teach your child how to make soap safely.
