Blues theory
For most of the time that I had been playing a guitar I had been told that music theory was not important for guitar. And for years I had bought into that. Partly because I was lazy and did not want to take the time to do it and partly because I did not want to be the only one studying it. When I started playing with the 50 blues backing tracks I began to realize that we had all been using music theory all along. We just did not know enough about it to call it what it was.
