I don’t know if I am the only one who looks at my surroundings when I drive, but I have been seeing a lot of these giant purplish-blue panels that have been placed in the median of two of the major highways in my area.  I think they are solar panels because of their color, but I am not sure what they would be powering.  Does anyone know what these are for?  Are they actually solar panels and, if so, what are they for?  Perhaps they are part of an experiment being conducted by one of the colleges in our area.
